EDENWOOD GARDEN CLUB

The Edenwood Garden Club was organized in 1962 and federated in 1968 with Mrs. E. R. Summey as the first president. Several of the original members are still active in the club. The purpose of the club is to promote gardening, to protect our native trees, flowers, and birds and to encourage civic planting and civic beauty. Past and present projects include erecting and maintaining the new entrance sign at North Eden Drive, sponsoring the "Yard of the Month" contest, decorating street sign poles at Christmas time and sponsoring a Christmas house decorating contest and Christmas Trees on Parade, and planting and maintaining a butterfly garden at Taylor Elementary School. The club is also active in litter control.
